When Life Isn’t Fair
Think back to your childhood, to something we all said at one time or another during our early years: “That’s not fair!”. As we move into adulthood the statement changes to one of “Life isn’t fair!”. The truth is that life isn’t fair, and yet there is something in all of us that wants life to be fair some of the time.
How do we approach those times in our lives when we feel things are not fair and seem uneven? How do we respond to those moments when we believe that we are getting a “smaller piece of the pie” and not the much larger piece that we think that we deserve? Jesus answered those questions with a powerful parable in Matthew 25: 14-30 and we will learn what He teaches about how life should be lived in those “unfair” occasions we all experience.
