There are some dates that I have never forgotten and are etched in my memory; December 7,1941, November 22, 1963, and September 11, 2001. I remember them because they are dates when evil seemed to run rampant and impacted our nation forever.
This is the first of two messges that focus on September 11, 2001. In this first message, we will not focus on the evil that took place but rather on the heroes and the love that was revealed. It was on that day we found men and women who did something rather extraordinary; while people ran away from danger, these heroes ran towards it. While people ran away from burning buildings, others ran toward them. Countless individuals put their own lives at risk because someone else’s life mattered to them more than their own life. Jesus called this, “the greater love”.
The title of the message is, “Running Towards the Fire”, and the scripture focus is John 15:12-13. I
